some A/C help. I have a 83 928S and im trying to to get the A/C running correctly. the fuses for the A/c inside air blower and the condensor fan fuse are getting hot. even get the wire to the relay hot. i have cleaned all the contact points that i can. i even ran a new heavy gauge wire from each fuse to the relays. the fuse holders are clean and tight. using new fuses that i got from Roger at 928srus. the inside air fan is pulling between 9 and 18 amps at the wire going from the fuse to the relay. the condensor fan is pulling about 15 amps. it isnt getting as hot as the blower fan wire.

Are you using ceramic fuses or plastic ones? ceramic is better. It is not the current draw - it is still a connection issue - resistance causes heat, do you have an IR thermometer - you need to figure out what is getting hottest - that's the source location. use only high quality fuses from reputable manufacturers and clean the fuse ends - perhaps use a contact promotor: Stabilant 22A or Deoxit D5
