Default 1989 Lighter Wiring

Search was not my friend
I have a brown double wire
a black with yellow stripe
and a black with blue stripe

I have the light
I have the lighter receiving element
I have a connection on the metal casing of the assembly

can anyone tell me what goes where (Alan)

other than reading electrical diagrams the only thing I am worse at is finding my A28.16 leak

thanks

Your black and yellow wire goes to Fuse 2, while your black and blue goes to Fuse 44. Given that, it looks like black and yellow is power to the lighter while black and blue is power to the light.

ETA: Browns are ground, of course, and go to the connection on the metal body of the assembly. Sorry if that wasn't obvious.

Hope that helps,

Cheers

That black and blue is always illumination in the interior in these cars.

The black and yellow goes to the center pin of the lighter and the brown is a ground that goes to the metal chassis of the assembly.
