Default '78 brake light switch leaking internally

On of the brake switches under the master cylinder is leaking internally into the wire connector. Is it possible or recommended to replace in situ?

yes you need a wrench and a few rags to catch the dripping fluid.
put a stick onto the brake pedal to push it down this will keep the fluid from draining out.
put the rags under the switches,
then get some brake cleaner and spray the switch connector a few times to clean it out .
get the new switch put some Loctite PTFE pipe thread sealant on the threads ,
and your 24 mm wrench ,
I made a bent wrench so it is easier to turn the switch.
unscrew the bad part then remove it then put the new part in ,
tighten it, then wipe up all the spilled fluid and rinse off the new switch,
then replace the wire harness.

NOTE its a good idea to replace both of these switches.
once the new parts are in ,
remove the wood post from the pedal,
and let the system sit for a few mins till the air bleeds up into the tank.

Got it. My 8 inch crescent wrench gave me plenty of swing room. Thanks again.
