There is a significant flaw in the four spoke wheel coverings that came into effect after the original 3-spoke wheels and up to the 4-spoke wheels for the air bag wheels of later models. Does anyone else know what that flaw in the covering might be?
We bought out all of Paul’s stuff a couple of years ago. We are continuing on with his stuff and ours.
It looks to me like you took over Paul's "stuff" but that you are applying your own artisan capabilities to putting it to use. To the extent that you may be trying to emulate his artisanship, I would advise against one aspect of that. That is that I observed that Paul was a very particular artisan at French Seams. He in fact put French Seam is just about everything that he made and to the extent of much more French Seams than were ever required or called for. My own theory is that if you need a seam in your leather work, put one, and then if it is visible make it a French Seam. If no seam is needed do not put one and then make it a French Seam.
Looks like the work of Paul Champagne (now retired) to me.
Thank God you took this up and I hope it makes you a bunch of money. You are a truly great artisan and you will only improve. Glad we have you if needed and feasible to your customers. Great product! Gunar
