Default door clearance

Hi everyone, quick favor to ask.as I'm out of town and can't do it myself.

Can someone tell me the clearance from the ground to the bottom of the doors on our cars? I'm guessing it didn't change much through the years.

Thanks, in advance,
Eric

Eric,
It is probably 'all over the map', as it depends on ride height (suspension adjustment). My car is a bit below the median spec for ride height, and with the door closed, the bottom edge is 13.5" above the garage floor.

Thanks Gary! I am entertaining a trailer and one of the limitations is a 11" fender for being able to open the door once inside the trailer. Sounds like a median spec 928 door would clear just fine.

Appreciate your help!

I am trailer both of mine on Saturday and can take measurements from both cars. One is at stock height and the other is at low end of the factory limit.

I trailered Blumaxx (a 78) from MT to Pitt on a UHaul trailer and had no issue with the fender clearance.

Anticipate a plan for having a tire go flat on a U-Haul or any similar trailer with limited door-to-fender clearance. My parts car had a slow leak in one DS tire and it was difficult to get it off a U-Haul. No room to change the tire while on the trailer and the hose to my garage compressor would not reach to the street to air it up again. Have a plan!

Eric I measured the two in my home garage (both 86.5) and they are a tad less than 12.5".

Buying an enclosed, nice
