Wintertime is not all bad
6-7 months of snow and salty roads every year, at least it makes time for maintenance and cleaning. Motor mounts done. Test startup and running warm today on the lift. All vibrations gone, all is good and ready for spring!

Which motor mounts did you use and were they original ? |

Which lift were you using? It looks like it has fixed alignment between the right-left halves. Great for safety. But likely difficult to slide a glider in the middle.

Nice work and your car looks fantastic!

Wow thats a super clean machine,
it looks like you have most if not all of the cosmoline removed, thats quite a feat. I was going to suggest that you recoat the front rotor hats and the rotor edges ,with some hi heat gray same as the rear rotors you have that are E coated. this will prevent rust and keep the wheel hub package looking clean after its been washed. Also I would suggest that you lower the RMB tips a bit to add clearance to the PU cover, otherwise over time the PU cover will deform and may melt on the tips. NOTE you could also add a few pieces of aluminum duct tape to the PU cover, no one will see it but it will protect the paint. Good Luck with the care and feeding of your machine ! |
Delicious!
And YES it looks clean enough to eat off of! Congratulations and enjoy it in good health when spring arrives. |
