In all fairness , Joe Fan's comments are perhaps a bit biased , He is Mark Anderson's long time racing buddy and very good friend . But so that no one be concerned let me make it clear ; Joe still pays for his parts . For that matter any new part I need I also pay for (at replacement cost ). Mark has sponsored my D E short track racing by donating a number of used parts which has helped me go play with the " real " Porsches . Perhaps the one shared attribute of the "big three" ( as people sometimes describe the three dedicated 928 parts suppliers ) is a devotion to and great appreciation for the 928 . It is a business but it is also fun , interesting and you get to meet a lot of really nice people who share our passion for the 928 .

I've been having a pretty good laugh here reading all the responses. But I guess I must be the only one here who has never bought anything from 928 Intl. in the 7 or 8 years that I've owned my car. I've bought from everyone else, so I don't know why. Weird. I did try once though. Jim B. told me that he didn't think I would really need those parts and that I should wait. Well, doggone if he wasn't right, so I'm still waiting! Actually, I did place an order recently, so Mark if you could get your supplier of short shifters to "supply", I will expect to see my order yesterday so I can get it installed last weekend. :0

Glenn ; I apologize for not selling you parts which you did not need . What was I thinking ? By not taking your money for things you did not need I lost the profit that we could have earned , as a result based on recent logic I guess that means everyone else has had to pay for my mistake . We do now have over 45,000 contacts in our data base ( many people do have two addresses ) . Thank you for the recent order , people really do like the short shifters BUT probably do not NEED them ....... have fun with the cars that is what it is all about . Something about owning a 928 has to make you smile .

I have to add my .02 here, too. As a Porsche shop owner, who does still work on 928's, these guys have always helped us take good care of our customers, race and street. Having a good reputable place to obtain gently used parts, and being able to give the customer the option, has resulted in keeping these cars on the road or at the track. (And I do enjoy my personal delivery man, Ronnie G.)

Youse guys ain't heard nuttin yet. I just talked to Jim on the phone and the cost of the parts INCLUDED INSTALLATION!!
He told me not to do anything more on the clutch until his guy arrived. I can't quite remember when he said he'd be here, but I remember something about some temperature anomaly in hell.

To keep things in perspective...
I have yet to recieve my flatulance flapper guide bearings let alone the seat and cabin fonk'sensors.
And the 928 INTL monogramed mudlaps with chrome trim and static disapators have been on back order for so long I've seriously thought of removing the brackets but they do hold up the 'SPARK PLATE' as well.
Seriously, even though I have a 20% discount to an unnamed source in OK
I have yet to use them because of reliable - as Shane said- understanding service, that also has a fantastic response time.
On the dark side of that:
Because the parts are so damned reasonable ( I'll use the plural, we, as I suspect there are more than one or two others involved here ) that we seem to take bigger and bigger bites off the dinner plate of maintenance tasks.
When I in-processed to South Korea many years ago a wise old Major forewarned my group that we could save so much money on the Korean economy we would probably go home broke...sage advice.
I haven't reached the stage where I blithely say: "Yeah, and toss in a rebuilt TT, & steering rack with the new shocks and springs", but ... .
Amazing jump from racing to entreprenureship in a niche -darn near keyhole- market.
Glad you guy's are here. Prosper!
