What Are These Connectors Behind The Radio & Clock Please?
Anyone know what the two connectors are behind the radio and clock in the photos please?
It’s the one with the blue and white wires and the one with the black and white wires. They are both female and I can’t see anything obvious to connect them to.
I’m also looking for the white cable for the electric aerial power supply, maybe one of these is for this?
It’s a 1980 928S manual.

I dont recognize the wires and I dont have a diagram handy maybe Alan will chime in.
I do know you can find the antenna wires in the LR wheel well after removing the block off plate,
use the multi meter on continuity and with a helper,
touch the pin and find a wire under the console.
it has 3 wires,
a ground,
a power wire,
and a signal wire

Thanks for this info.
Perhaps the black and white wired connector could the ground (black) and the power feed/trigger (white) for the aerial.
Hopefully someone can confirm. 😃

It's also possible that it's for something only on the ROW cars, and not used for US, or for future planning, or some weird supplier/manufacturing thing.
I also scanned the US '80 wiring diagrams, and didn't see any 2-pole connectors with two white wires coming from the back.

OK with that info you will need to trace where the wires are going .
NOTE If your working on a Euro version,
then its possible these are EPA wires to make it look like the car has been federalized.
If thats so I would guess they go somewhere near the CE panel and terminate near a small metal box,
or some phony O2 sensor connectors

Thanks for the info everyone, I’m based in the UK and this is an Italian market car delivered in June 1980. I’m taking her into my 928 specialist for the first time in April so will as him too (Paul Anderson at 928 Specialists). I took delivery of the car in February so I’m on a journey of discovery which I’m enjoying very much! 😀
