Default Plastic Dash cover and pod cover?

Has anyone removed a plastic dash cover and pod cover ? PO had one on the car and not only does it look tacky but the pod cover rubs on the steering column.

How diffulcult is it to do and were would you buy something like this maybe the instructions to install would help me un-install?

Thanks,

Richard

Was it installed over a leather dash? This was done to my 80 before I bought it. It looks good except for around the vents. I would like to remove because of this.

I removed a warped set from my dash/pod... they were apparently installed with silicone sealant and came up with a little tugging. This is apparently the prefered way to install these (silicone) because of the ease of removal when needed... so chances are yours might be installed the same way?

The only other way I know that they can be installed is with a glue... in which case the same method for removal would be required. If you dont see any obvious alternate methods for holding the covers on (i.e. some sort of fasteners) then chances are you'll simply have to pry it up. Were you interested in preserving it?

BTW mine came from a TX company called "Coverlay" IIRC.
