I am amazed at the similarity of the Honda VFR motorcycle forums and the 928 forums (quality and complexity seem to attract same type person). Just curious, how many of you who have a motorcycle own a VFR?

i did own a 1985 VF750 - the model with cam/cam-chain issues. i loved that bike, the way it pulled in fith gear was increddible.. unfortunately i wrote it off.
id definitely consider another honda maybe a V5 (or an rc30-45)?

Sold my 87 VFR 700 last year when I found myself spending time with the 928 and ingnoring the bike (and whenever I rode it I started to get THAT feeling of impending doom). I only rarely miss it now. I owned a VFR for a total of 8 years (2 different ones). Very similar machines in so many ways.

I used to have one waaay back in the mid eighties. I bought it new and oh how I hated that bike - it was great to ride when it worked but in it's first year it was in the repair shop for 9months! cam, small ends, big ends, self distorting frame, one after the other.

Had one of the original "Interceptors", 84 VF750. Then 3 years ago I had a 91 (or 2) VFR (the white one) . Currently have a VTR1000F SuperHawk, has gobbs of torque just like a 928!!
>Anyone know of a decent forum for the Honda VTR Superhawk?
>I have some issues!!
I have mine pretty well sorted, send me a PM as I may can help with some issues.

Nick:
I'd almost call it a plactic covered "standard" bike. The fairing isn't big enough to protect you from much. If you like the sport-bike-ish riding position, it's like my CBR with Heli-bars. It's sure not like a FZ-1 or V-Max, though. I've ridden the CBR for 8-10 hour days, though, so I'm not a good one to ask, I think.

I recently sold my 84 VF500 to buy a VFR750, but,, there was a 95 Ducati 900 SS with carbon fiber pipes next to it. So,, they cranked the Duc up and I was sold. I still love that VFR though.
