Hi 928 gurus,
I'm working on upgrading digital clock to analog and need help with wiring. The digital clock has 4 spade connectors: 2 black/blue (illumination), 1 brown (ground) and 1 red (12V) (photo below). Old digital clock wiring
The analog clock has 6 wire harness: 2 red (12V), 2 black/blue (illumination), 1 black and 1 brown (ground) Analog clock harness
It's clear that both Reds connect to red, brown to brown, both black/blue connect to black/blue.
Question - What does Black connect to?
And the second question - what is this in the back of the analog clock highlighted? If it's a bulb - does it connect to anything? Back of both clocks
I did a small write-up a while ago on the analogue clock. Maybe you can be helped a little by that thread. And yes, the black thing is a bulb which connects to the pcb in the clock...
Great write up, thank you! So, the black wire is not used, that makes sense.
What is that round thing in the last photo highlighted in yellow circle? Does it connect to anything?
that black thing is a light bulb holder that twists into the circuit board on the clock housing.
Nothing connects to it, except for the two fingers on its other side that contact the CB
