Power steering pump shot?
Last night, my car evacuated all the ATF in the power steering system. I wiped everything down and waited to see where the leak comes from, and it appears to be from the front of the pump behind the pulley. Luckily, this seems to be the only leak, but it must have been spraying all over the place while it was running, because the garage floor is covered with it.
Anyway, does this mean a shot pump? Those things don't seem to be selling for cheap these days.
What is mildly interesting is that the wheel is not that hard to turn unassisted...just wouldnt want to have to rely on my muscles alone in an emergency.
