Skyline & Parkway Cruise to Sharks Discover Columbus - July 14-18 2024
Please see all the details in the attached PDF. Booking for hotels is now open.
Event registration is now open: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...-canada-686916 $30 fee will be payable at a later date, this is for the swag/memento of the event.
Registrations so far:
1: Myself and maybe the Wifey -87 928
2: Simon B and his Wife - 90 928
3; Eddie C and his son Avery - 88 928
4: Michael S - 89 928
5: Alex G - 88 928
As some of you may have already heard we are planning an extended road trip to take place while we are en-route to SDC II. There are at least 6 of us from the Southern Ontario group confirmed so far, and we would like to open this event to anyone who would like to join for all or part. The more the merrier!
We plan to enjoy the drive and some stops along the way. We also plan on getting to each overnight spot well enough before dinner so we will have time to relax, hang out, and have a nice dinner.
Itinerary:
Sunday, July 14th - Depart Southern Ontario and drive to Breezwood PA via the 219 - Overnight at the Holiday Inn - 327 miles
Monday, July 15th - Driving to Waynesboro VA via Skyline Dr - Overnight at the Best Western - 195 miles
Tuesday, July 16th - Driving to Blowing Rock via the Blue Ridge Parkway - Overnight at the Holiday Inn - 291 miles
Wednesday, July 17th - Driving to Pigeon Ford TN via the BRP and the Smokey Mountains - Overnight at the Hilton - 220 miles
Thursday, July 18th - Driving to SDC II (Route TBD) - 400 miles
SDC II
Sunday, July 21st - Driving home via Detroit or Buffalo - 400 miles
I should add that we have already started a WhatsApp group chat for this event, we are using this for planning and then as a connection method while we are on the trip. Dm if you would like to join the chat.

I am almost done with the hotel contracts with some pretty decent room rates. Just waiting on the fourth and some extra details from two. I will update this thread in a few days with all of the booking details, and event registration.

Just a quick bump.
If you are considering joining please register and book hotels. So far we have 5 928's registered for the journey, and possibly a local 997, all P-cars are welcome. The $30 swag fee won't be payable until we get closer to late May.

We have 4 rooms left in our blocks at the group rates. Hotels and the event are fully cancelable, so even if you are on the fence please register. The $30 per person will be collected later in May, this will go towards the event T-shirt.
