"Please keep in mind this car is 22 years old....with 6455 miles on it. It was not bubble wrapped, frozen in time and then thawed."

You let a red car sit outside for 2 years it will turn pink, much less 20 years.

Since the ad says it's a California car, I wonder, if it's the one that was on ebay some time ago, that had been sitting in the sun and was basically melted and faded. I'm glad to see it back on the road again, but judgeing from the pictures, there is still quite some work left to do. I hope it finds a good home!

One can only imagine what the condition of the rubber seals are like e.g. door/ hatch / window seals. It is hard to keep them well preserved at the best of times without 20 years of neglect thrown into the equation.

What can you do? Keep the car out of the sun and keep it waxed at all times. I'm not an expert in car waxes, but I'm sure there are some that offer better UV protection than others. See, if you can research that. There is probably not much else you can do.

O.K. maybe I am wrong but my gut tells me there is no way that car has only 6455! The guy is in Pembroke which is down the road from me here in Ottawa Canada – now unless that car was shipped up here – which I doubt then you would have racked half of the 6455 of those miles just getting it here, (2800 miles approximately). Also who would drop what 50k-60k on a car and then never drive it for 20 years – there are collectors here in Canada but they are like collectors in the US – you have a climate controlled garage and that is where you keep things.
I agree with Maddox – I bought one with 18k miles on it two years ago and subsequently have dropped 6k-8k just to fix all of the little things like all the rad hoses, timing belt, water pump, tires all round, the Rad because the plastic ends deteriorate – well lets just say the list goes on.
If anyone is serious I can go take a peak at it but I am sure the odometer died a while ago or was rolled coming across the border.
Cheers,
Eric
