There was a used set on ebay, but in the last hour it went up around $300. With a new set $400, I bit the bullet and got some with stongards. I've seen many broken or cracked lenses on other S4s.
Total: 445.00, what are you going to do.....

The replacement S4 foglight lens setup comes with the new glass, new reflectors and adjusters, and a new seal. The only difference between the lens setup and the whole lamp assembly is the gret housing that bolts into the bumper. If your car was not in an accident that deformed the rear housing, save yourself some $$ and get the replacement lens only. The Big Three sell those parts. Get the StoneGuards at the same time.

As much as I like saving a buck or two every once in a while, it makes sense to keep our 928 suppliers in business. These are the folks that supply a lot of advice and guidance here in the various forums, in person, and on the phone. Many of us learn and benefit from the knowledge supplied by Wally and Dave from 928 Specialists, Jim and Mark from 928 International, and Marc and Susan from Devek. Each brings a unique benefit and perspective to these forums and lists.

More than 75 cars and owners enjoyed the Sharks in the Mountains event last weekend, sponsored by 928 Specialists. In August, a similar number of owners will gather in the San Francisco area for a weekend of fun sponsored by Devek. In southern California this fall, 928 International and the SoCal Owners Club bring you Sharktoberfest.

This kind of support to the 928 community deserves your support in return.

bob,

I agree completely ...as long as our noble sponsors keep their prices in line with the competition, I am always happy to buy from them!

Used ones from 928 Int'l are $100...

I believe overwattage bullbs will crack them, so if you do get new ones bear that in mind.

Hmmm

I use 100W bulbs in both positions, and drive with the fog lights on all the time, as a kind of cheapo poor-man's DRL's. I also have the stonegusrds on there, which would decrease the cooling of the glass I'd suspect. Results? No cracked lenses from overheating, at least so far.

This is one case where your mileage may definitely vary. I won't guarantee that yours won't crack, just saying that mine haven't.

Where can I get some stone guards? I just replace both fog/driving lights. After 117,000 miles and Bambi, they were pretty pitted and such. Now they are nice and clear and shiny. Got mine from 928 Intl.

Get 'em for fogs & headlamps! The whole set should be ~$60.
