I drove in from MN. Good to see my pals again and meet Ed. Great time had by all. My invite got lost in the mail. lolz.
The burgundy in the right rear is the ONLY 928 painted this paint-to-sample in the world. One of one. Will be for sale later this year. (not mine)

Well, ok. To the right of Ed is the good looking mountain tree man Curry. I'm to the left of Ed in the MINNESOTA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF SCIENCE & ENGINEERING.

Thanks for posting Rick - you beat me to it! (Today was a travel day and I’m wupped). It was a fun evening with this gang. Roger, Zane, Mercedes and Sean thank you for your hospitality! It was great to see some familiar Rennlist friends too like Sterling and John, and to finally meet the likes of Doc (he’s a pretty smart guy btw) and Andy K, among a few others. The facility is really cool and Mercedes gave me the nickel tour of 928R Us, where I got to see lots of cool inventory. Note - they now carry Jim’s early intake tube reproductions. I had them for Blumaxx, and they are correct for the 78-80 models.
Anyway it was a fun night with great old and new friends, sharks, Ferraris, other Porsches and a couple of cool little dogs. Plus Scotch and other libations. (Including some sort of Peanut butter flavored alcohol that John brought - good gawd!)

Don't let Ed fool you.
He liked that peanut butter whiskey so much that he wanted to dip his cigars in it and eat the cigar. We told him that was not allowed in Texas, so he starting sulking and then told everybody in attendance that he didn't like the peanut butter whiskey.
Okay, well, it didn't happen quite like that, but it could have.
Okay, well, he did say it didn't mix well with scotch.
I knew it was gonna be a fun night when Doc Mirror and Ed started discussing Quantum Mechanics. A real fun night. LOL, that really did happen.
Great to see you again Ed.

For those who seek an experimental example, consider the Doppler effect. Stand in a spot distant to a 928 moving toward with the horn blaring, note the change in pitch of the horn as the 928 passes. Then, consider one is in another 928, pacing the horn-blaring 928 exactly and the pitch would remain constant. Drive the car in the opposite direction of the horn-blaring 928, and the 928 horn will change pitch twice as fast as if one were stationary. The only change was the relative position of the pace/opposing 928. This is a similar, if quite basic example of time dilation.

Although a wormhole is an interesting sci-fi concept, the physics of Gen Relativity are not able to permit things like that in space and time. However, the recently proven out theory(now postulate) of time dilation could be interesting. However, mass needs to be accelerated to ungodly speeds before time dilation becomes utilitarian for much of anything. In theory, a mass(spaceship full of people?) accelerated to 90% of the speed of light would travel 10 light years distance in about 3.2 years, however, I'm not doing the math here. While this isn't actually the fancy 'wormhole' speeds, it pretty darn quick from the travelers perspective. Sadly, those left on Earth watching the mass(spaceship), the speed is inconsequential because of observation relativity, and would appear to take the full 10 years in transit.
