D90's fitment
Hi all, I've searched and found many different thoughts on this, please help.
I've found a beautiful set of polished D90's, they are 16x7 55et and 16x8 52.3et, I've read they're from a 928 or 968 but I'm not sure ( no part # at this point)? I know they will fit but what issues will I have with them? I'm not tracking the car but I do like high speeds.
Thanks in advance

944 or 968 can't say, but they're not from a 928.
928 D90's front are 7.5 x 16, 65 mm offset and rear 9 x 16, 52.3 mm offset.
Would they fit? Yes. Optimal, no.

I suppose that the real question is how much of a bargain were they? For the right price and good tires, I might put them on my 928

Thanks Jerry, looking in a different direction, 944 Turbo Fuchs Forged 7x16 ET65 and 9x16 ET60, I assume the ET 60 in the back will not be a issue?
I'd rather not have any driving issues so I assume 5mm won't make a huge difference in the rear? Would love Cup 1's but I'm not dropping $3-4k and not have to buy 4 new tires too!

Okay I've found a beautiful set of Fuchs Forged club sport , who thinks I'm crazy going with these in 16", 245/45's for the rears are tougher to find but I'll probably only put 10k miles on it in the next 5-10 years?
Et 60 in the rear I assume is okay?
Very light weight too 18 and 21 lbs thank you for the input!

7x16 ET65 is the front stock size for the S4 flat Disc.
9x16 ET60 is the rear stock size for the 89 GT Club Sport (M393).
So you will be good.
Club Sport wheels are quite hard to find.
Congrats and post some pics once on the car.

Another question for the all knowing please.
Recommended tire on the rear is 245/45x16, these are limited in summer sport, in fact I wont be able to buy them in my Conti Extreme Sport 02 (front, 500 miles of course I will use them)) probably will have to use Bridgestone Potenza Sport in the rear, does anyone have thoughts on another size that won't give me any driving issues? Also, will running these 2 similar specs tires cause issue?
I'm also surprised that the 245/45 tire is only approximately .5" wider, I thought I would get a fatter look in the rear? Will my stock 22mm spacer push the wheel out another .866" ?
Thank you all!

Never heard them called Fuchs but I suppose that's who made them. They've always been Club Sport rims in the 928 world.

BTW, the stock 89GT has a 17mm spacer on the rear accompanied by the 60mm offset on the 16X9 CS Rim. Fronts are 16X8 with 60mm offset also. There is a 944 Club sport rim 16X8 that has a 52mm offset. Looking at the 928 and 944 16X8 CS rims side by side, it is apparent that they all started at 52mm offset and the 928CS rim was machined down to 60mm.

Thanks Tom, I want the ET to be as close to original as possible that's why I'm looking at the 951 front's at ET65 & the 928 ET60.
I've seen the BAT ones too,
Now it's just the tire size question and running two different brands of similar tires will be an issue?
