Default SITM was awesome!

Hey, what a trip! I went down from Boston thursday, and did the whole 108 mile Skyline drive at the end of the day. Then stayed at a hotel and met up with a group at mm1 Blue ridge Parkway in the morning. We did maybe another 100 miles before getting back to the highway for the rest of the trip. Ended up at the Holiday Inn around 6pm friday after the infamous rte 421 twisties near Banner Elk. The whole rest of the weekend was full of more twisty roads in a train of up to 81 sharks, and much meet-and-greet with everyone and their sharks.
I hooked up with 6 Boxsters on the ride home, they had 55 cars at their event in the same area, and on Grandfather Mountain as well. I don't know how we didn't run into each other during the weekend. I made the complete drive home caravaning with a couple in their Boxster and we had 2-way radios. They live 20 minutes from me.
The car never missed a beat, needed nothing for the whole trip, and passed the Bosch Hammer diagnostic perfect. What a great bonding experience with other owners and with my 928 as well. 2000 miles round trip, 875 miles one way, and made the drive home in one shot. AND no tickets. At 2am was following 2 cars in CT who BOTH got nabbed. The boxster and I were right behind them. Don't lead the way if you don't have to.

Best time I've had in years, Carl.

Hey Carl,

Was really nice meeting you and thanks again for the Porsche 928 GTS literature! I will proudly add it to my growing collection!

Glad you had a safe trip home too. Will we see you in KS?

BTW, very cool picture!

Chuck- great meeting you and to see your showroom GTS. It is strange to look it over because there are no flaws, paint chips, scratches, dirt or anything to catch the eye. Like going to the dealer in 1995.
pic of Chuck Z's GTS.
