Smile New 928S Build/Questions/Thoughts

Hello All,

My recent internet searches have led me to purchasing my second 928, I found a deal too good to pass on and bought myself an 85' 928S 5-Speed 32V car with 70,000 miles filled with goodies from the past. The depth of the goodies is a GTS bodykit, front splitter, a nice Raid Dino steering wheel, and 964 Turbo Speedline 2-piece wheels (Weird replicas or Real? They do not say "Speedline for Porsche" on the outer barrel, but they are quite faded). The lists of positives is long with the car having very minimal rust ( dime sized surface rust on the rear side windows), transmission shifts nice (but sits in between 4-5 in neutral which I've heard mixed reviews on if it is normal or not), electronics function like a german car from the 80's and genuinely having 70,000 miles. The negatives are that the engine is suspected to have a blown head gasket, so I don't dare start it, and faded paint.

I would like this car to be a fun weekend car / track toy and this leads me to my next point which is me wondering if I should LS swap the car since the only negative is the damaged motor. I could create my own swap kit with CAD modeling as that's my expertise or I know there are kits available on the internet. Or should I try to diagnose and repair the engine by myself. I'm asking for some thoughts from others about this situation as I am ready for my next move. I have already delicately removed the entire interior as I am putting in my own seats along with other components. And I am currently working on removing the sound deadening and glue from under the carpet. So if anyone is in the market for some flawless beige and black interior components (I have it all), or the motor, I'm your guy.

If anyone made it this far and wants to help out by offering a piece of their mind, I would like some thoughts about my plans on LS Swap versus repair the motor. Some thoughts on new suspension components. More information about the wheels, and then maybe some cool ideas about what I can add to the interior or what color I can paint the car.

I greatly appreciate any support and would love to talk to some of you.
Thank You,

70.000 miles isn‘t much, why not pulling the engine and look at the gaskets?
Than you have facts and can make a decent choice.

A blown head gasket is repairable or worst case scenario, why not source a newer 32v and run it via an aftermarket ECU?
Seems you have an attractive car (GTS body, no rust) and to raise the hood and encounter an LS, to be would be a bit of a let down.
My opinion, of course.
