Looks better then a batch of measuring sticks. I think I would need one that goes from 135-185 mm.

Great solution! I have been using a Bosch laser measuring tool from HD which is nice.

Slight modification:
Shortened probe and added calibration screw. Now my scale is off by 5 mm but they are just glued on so hopefully I can pop them off and apply corrected ones. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...3dd60087e8.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...612ef5ebf7.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...ff6a52b2bf.jpg Cheers, |
We use a straight edge and a tape measure in the air, on the alignment rack.
When we measure one, on the ground, we have a couple of machined block of aluminum, with a bolts in them, which we measure with a pair of calipers. But I'd gladly buy one of these, to support the people who take the time (like I do) to improve our 928's. I love the ingenuity, when people create something unique! I hate it when people copy existing things that someone else has taken the time to create! |
Turns out my car is too low for the original gauge so I did some redesign to lower the range and also gave it some other enhancements.
Now to put it to use to get a baseline on what my heights are now before I start investigating what rubber bits need replacing. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...c324bb7577.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...b5ced8aa65.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...e47af91666.jpg |

That's very generous of you, thanks alot! I'll be sure to post my results after I print and assemble the parts.
If anyone is using Simplify3D, I can supply "factory" files and then you'll have my print settings as well. Cheers, |
