With much sadness, I will not be making the trip to Camp 928 this year. We got a late start on our move to the beach house and still have two decks to stain, pool to open and get ready for the season, and on and on! I was holding out hoping all this chores would do themselves, but no! Have a great Camp and don’t forget the pictures!

[From early morning on the aforementioned boat — the "High C's" (brass players will get the joke) — gently bobbing in its slip on Willsboro Bay, me sipping coffee and contemplating an endless list of boat problems to sort out, trying not to think of my endless list of car problems.]

Sad to hear about your absences, Shawn and Bob. But I am informed that Luc will be coming!

The first concert of the Lake George Community Band has been moved up this year to this Thursday. It's in the town park in Lake George Village at 8::00 should any of you be passing by. I'd skip it but I'm leader of the horn section, and there will be a big audience of firemen attending a convention. Early arrivals will have to make do without me (and Nancy - she plays also). Make yourself at home in the garage and studio, as usual. The traditional Thursday restaurant is the Sticks and Stones south of Schroon Lake Village (Route 9). We'll be back about 10:30.

Friday arrivals: We'll have burgers, dogs et cetera starting around 5:00, but we'll keep the food out for late arrivals.

People will be around Saturday morning, but we'll be leaving around noon on the Newcomb/North Hudson Fun Run. A car show will be in progress in North Hudson, and we'll try the Paradox Brewery afterwards (might be swamped).

Bring your own booze and a chair. Long pants, long-sleeved shirts and warm jackets are wise to thwart bugs and the chilly mountain air. The weather is looking good, except Friday night.

For the quickest response, text me at 518 494 9994. See you soon!

Sorry to hear Bob, are you headed to any events this year? Would be nice to meet you at some point. The lady's family is over your way.

Curt - Cyril is coming on Saturday at least. Not sure how often he checks the forum.

I’ll be heading down in Sept to Frenzy. If you want to head up to Maine, our local PCA region club is having our annual Porsches in the Park in Portland , July 27. Usually get about 200 Porsches from all over NE. Charity event for the Dempsey Cancer Center.

A last minute trip to Camp 928 for me this year.
Seeing old friends and meeting new ones worth the one day 800 km trip for sure.
And the Fun Run was great. Perfect weather too.
Thank you to Curt and Nancy for putting up Camp 928 at your beautiful place each year.

Kudos to Curt and Nancy for exceptional hospitality and a superb weekend of 928 fun in the NY North Country. Annie the token pooch made many new friends and we managed to fix Curt's hard restart problem. Relay, Relay, Relay! Looking forward to next year already. Regards.

Great group this year. Lots of laughs and good discussions. For those who haven't seen Curt's place this was the sunset before the camp fire.

Curt and Nancy - thanks for hosting once again. It was nice to return to my favorite car event after missing it the last few years. There's always something interesting going on at Curt's - projects, repairs, toys and great people. Plus the fun run - can't beat the roads and scenery, and this year the weather was spectacular. And, to top it off, we had great representation of the 16V twin dizzie Euro this year, with 4 in attendance.

Back home after a wonderful weekend in paradise. No wonder Curt and Nancy are such nice people, they live in a paradise year round. Big thank you for letting us share your peaceful surroundings, feeding us and being the all-around great hosts you are. Even the Gods were favorably inclined and delivered the best weather one could ask for. Amen !!!

Thank you Curt & Nancy for another amazing weekend. Peter and I had a great time hanging out and chatting with everyone. Also, this was Peter's first time driving the 928 for an extended period of time. I let him drive the 928 for the entire time we were in NY state, and he took full advantage of the opportunity! Here's a photo of us on the peak of Whiteface Mountain. Thanks for the sweatshirt, Dan!
