Perhaps this is old news and already posted, but make sure you check out the video about a guy in Connecticut with prototype bodies #1,2 and 4!

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch this last night- It felt like a distillation of a hundred threads here on RL regarding early '78 details, and all the documentation efforts for #001 and all the press cars in general. It's a reference work for anyone interested in the history of 928s. Andrew and Jay, great job on all fronts!

I think Andrew (drooman) knows more about 928's than anyone else on the planet!
Oh wait.. There are: Rob Edwards, Samuel, Mark Anderson, Shawn, Harold, Carl, Sterling, Dave C, Louie Ott, DaveK9, Hacker, Eric, Jeanie and a whole slew of other guys in Texas that hang out with some British guy that owns a super cool SE with a primitive left handed gearbox...
Great and knowledgable bunch of guys indeed!

Wow, really nice deep dive. Drooman, thanks for taking the time to show Jay (and us) all the little details. The documentation on the one car is insane.
And you let Jay drive it!
Cheers

So happy to see these cars get out into the wild and shared with us all. Thanks for being a worthy caretaker and ambassador.

Jay knows he's invited back to take a real drive, on a dry day.

Andrew,
Wonderful story, I truly enjoyed watching, It 'seemed' to me that during the time Jay was driving the car at the very end, the hatch was open about an inch or two at the rear. It certainly seemed like I could see the rain falling on the street behind the car through a gap below the hatch sheet metal. Optical illusion?
A big THANKS for sharing, and for all you've done as caretaker/historian for these cars.
