Intensive Care or Repair?
Is it worthwhile to save the intensive care washer system? How many use it? Where and what is the intensive stuff???? My 928 is not concourse, nor collectable, but the washer system is in currently in a state of repair. Opinions???

What do you use for fluid? Does Porsche still sell it? I made some super concentrated Rain-X washer fluid for my system. I like the intensive washer system, just another cool feature of this amazing car. Most people don't even know it's there or how to use it (like the headlight washers.)

Intensive Screen washer system is activated by a little button under the dash on the same side as the wiper switch. Opposite the ODO reset button and next to the rotary wheel that adjusts the intermittent wiper delay.
OPC's still sell the special silicon remover which has a 928 part Number and comes in 1L bottles with an extending spout to fill up the reservoir.

If the non-return valves don't work the intensive washer reservoir will be continually refilled with normal washer fluid. This means that once you run out of fluid in the main container you will have enough in the "reserve" to clear your windscreen until you can refill.

I put rubbing alcohol in mine for the winter so it blasts right through the ice. Got the idea from a retired jet trainer that my Day had years ago. Works like a champ.

Don't think I have ever used mine........since I have disabled my headlight washer pump (it is now an AWIC pump), maybe I can work up a little modification to use the intensive washer pump for the headlights........which I would probably never use........

Never have had a problem. The blue stuff I buy by the gallon at Kragen's to fill the windshield resovoir on my wife's Expedtion (she goes through the stuff unbelievably fast) has a high concentration of alcohol in it as well. Windex has a high concentration as well. Maybe i've just been lucky?
