The waiting.... (storage fire)

Tony,
As have many, I followed your great work in renewing/modifying your car. It was a work of enjoyment (mostly), and very well done. So sorry to hear of the fire, and as so many others have said, really hope that the car is not damaged. I also understand the stress of waiting and not knowing. We all hope for prompt and wonderful resolution of the investigation for you.

Tony, best of luck
I sold my GTS and the new owner had it in a storage facility. The facility also experienced a massive fire. Needless to say he was not lucky at all. Here are a couple pf pics.

OMG Tony, so sorry to hear about this!
Hopefully from the placement of the where your car is shown and the reach of the fire damage stopping short of your ground level storage the damage will be minimal if any.
I too have cars in storage facilities here in Detroit, they do have sprinkler systems, was yours equipped with one?

Im a big kid but mine is up in MN at the lake right now. Ill probably bring it back this weekend. Hoping we will get access next week.
Thanks for all the support guys. I've never wanted to drive my car more than i do right now. Putting it in perspective though, there are people that have lost way more than just a car in this complex.

What lake in MN?
I'm on a lake in MN but you're probably farther north.

Damn that sucks Tony. We had a big fire like that here in Pittsburgh a few years back, which burned a major classic and exotic car storage facility. It looked real bad. Once they got inside, the only real damage was to the cars near where the fire was. Everything else was smoke damage, to varying degrees, and most made it okay. Fingers crossed for you.

We had 2018 a big fire on the farm in an old barn and the cows are not injured under the concrete ceiling from the first floor. I would think positive so far away from the fire in such a box.

Got an email friday. They said they are not allowing access until the city inspects the place and deems it safe for people in certain areas. No time update at all.
Brought my drone back so im heading over at some point when its quiet to see if i can snag some quick videos and at least see the condition of the area near near my unit.
basically still in limbo.

so i snuck in...
perhaps surprised the security guard in his car.
im a bit more optimistic seeing the video. No signs of serious smoke, water or heat from the doors in this area. They still aren't allowing access until the city inspectors says its safe now and come up with a plan to allow so.
