I'm going to try, but my schedule is so crazy now that I don't know if I'll have time to drive the 2824 miles round trip!

>> Normy, I'm sure they have a long runway in Wichita and parking space for the odd 747, just "drop in" and say hello.

Hey, I can see some interesting competition here: 928 against 747 on the dragstrip. I just see a problem parking the 747 indoors with the sharks...

I'll bet Normy can trim out the ol' 747 (-200?) at mach .82 ... it takes a while to get there but once he does, no 928 will keep up.

Mach .84 Rich, and if it rains we'll just find a K-Loader and put all the 928's inside the whale~

Im there , already got my vacation landed over the dates. Its easy since its after the 4th.

I just have to figure a route...North via UT CO...or South Via AZ NM.

Normy, perhaps get a group rate and ship the FL gang to Witchita!

BTW Normy, EVERYOONE calls in sick OVER The 4th...not after it

I plan to depart Phoenix in the morning of July 7th and jump onto I40 at Holbrook. It is pretty much an eastward shot across I40 from there. Driving around 10 hr. days makes Tucumcari, NM a potential stop for the first night and arrival at Hallet (Sand Springs, OK) July 8th. On July 9th we'll enjoy some of the DE activities on and then drive north for the 3-ish hours to arrive and check-in at Wichita that afternoon.

Randy V/John D, thanks for putting the thread at the top!

Randy, are you planning to drive out to Wichita and show off that rag-top?

Any listers that are heading to the event through Kansas City can count on the KC Wrenching Society to roll out the welcome mat/provide roadside assistance (if necessary) while you are in KC. I will try to coordinate a possible caravan down from KC to Wichita, if any one is interested as well, altho I will be in my 968, so I assume I will have to travel in the rear of the pack. Still haven't bought my wife her shark yet, but we are looking!

KCWS consists of mostly 944 owners, but we'd love to add some 928's to the group, so drop in and say hi. If any of the coordinators of the 928 Owners Club convention would like assistance from us, please pm me and we'll do what we can to help out.

Regards,

Hiya Scott, thanks for the offer! I'm sure there will be caravan plans and we invite you and the Gang to come on down!

Let me also encourage anyone reading this to head to Hallett Motor Circuit Raceway for the track day Friday as well, it will be some good fun as we take over the facility.

Any questions or comments please contact me at Marc@goimi.com.

Thanks Randy and JD for topping this info, and get your butts to Wichita this July!

Happy to help, bein' as I'm the official 'topper' for the 928 forum.

Hmmm, let's see - San Diego on the coast, or Wichita - in July. Decisions, decisions...

If I were to attend, I definitely would fly rather than drive.
