Front seat fold mechanism (round knob)

Front seat fold mechanism (round ****)
Hello rennlist experts
I can no longer fold down the front seat (right side) on my Porsche 928 (MY 1984). The round button (no. 19 in picture below) stayed in after pressing it. I can't find a complete description of the mechanics of the seat in the parts catalog or anywhere else on the internet. After pulling off the button, I can grab the linkage with the pliers, it's loose - is it possible to reattach it somehow, or has some fitting broken off the seat frame? Can anyone explain to me on how to fix this? Some photos of the fittings on the seat frame would already help a lot.
Thanks
Regards
Thomas

Hmm...
I just found these parts list views... Maybe you're helped a little bit by them...;

Hey Thomas, no takers on this one but I'll try to give you a "partial" help.
No photos and no real fix but a practical/functional work-around. Same thing happened to my '79 a few years back. Tried to fix it but eventually gave up, realizing I could not do it without removing the 45 yr. old leather upholstery, and that was a non-starter. Don't remember the details of how I arrived at that conclusion, too many yr.s have gone by and my memory isn't getting better with years ;-) I seem to recall,vaguely, that the release cable wasn't broken but only disengaged from the push-button release mechanism. The access to reattach it is so limited that I just could not do it, no matter what tools I tried to use.
The "work-around" solution I've been using since then is this.
At the bottom of the seat-back, there is an opening exposing the latching mechanism. Not sure you can get your head down there to see it but you can get your finger in there. The push-button release cable attaches to a lock/release latch. This latch has a small tab on it that can be manipulated with your finger. (built in manual override ) ?Light pull on it disengages the latch and the seat-back is free to tilt forward. Once you find this tab and try it a few times, it is very easy to do. I can do it with my eyes closed now. Easy to live with, in my opinion.
Sorry I don't have a real fix for you.

Thank you all for the replies. It is hard to tell from the pictures but I guess some armature of the seat frame has broken off, and I would have to rip the seat apart to weld it back on. Since I had the seat reupholstered 6 years ago it is not that brittle and I might eventually let the shop who did the reupholstery do it, but the problem is that shop is 200 miles away in Germany ...
@928nut: thank you for the "work-around" solution I guess I will use that for the time being
After all I can count the number of times anybody wanted to sit in the rear seat of the 928 (so I would have to fold the seat) on one hand ...
