Default Alternator ducting...

Hi, does anyone know the diameter of the ducting on the alternator. Looking to replace it asap. Im guessing 3 inches????

The silicone hose is super durable but it is a bit of a bear to work with. The reinforcing wire is thicker and this makes the hose stiffer and harder to work into position under the car. And, when cutting the hose make sure you snip the wire perpendicular to the length first and leave some silicone material on both sides of the wire so it does not try to split from the material. Use the cut ends of the hose against the metal sleeve so you have something solid to clamp the cut wire against.

The OEM hose has a much more bendable reinforced wire, which makes it a little easier to work with. Too bad the material on that hose is less durable.
