we did have excellent weather and it was great to just walk around admiring the cars and talking with the owners. the organisation was spot on as well with name badges and a list of all the cars not to mention sponsorship and prizes..

yes randy, its a trophy - im stoked to have it as well. we had a huge number of cars meet and travel in convoy starting from the carpark outside a hotel. the sound was just too cool when they all started up!

you know that is the one thing we missed out on. we should have requested that all drivers start there engines at a set time.
I was at Euro 928 2001 . 60 928s all parked in the courtyard of a Luxembourg castle, surrounded on all four sides , all started their engines to depart - just idling what a beautiful sound reverberating around the castle walls.

apparently the noisiest 928 at Beaulieu

More Pictures
Unfortunately Angus' normally ultra reliable server was down for a few hours, which was why the pic I posted earlier became unavailable for a while. I have now posted a ful set of pics on the 928UK server.
More Pictures
The first page is from the staging hotel in Eastleigh, and the second two from Beaulieu, the last pic is of Rob Burrell one of the three guys responsible for organising this incredible gathering.
And yes, Jon and Nick probably had the two loudest cars there, aurally and visually!

Make that 129,
The Richard Pearce's Strosek and Marton Hasenberg's Weissach edition are both LHD, There may have been one or two others but I just can't remember.
Heres a pic of Paul UkKid on our mini convoy on the way home.
He obviously enjoyed his day out.

oh dear, mine is not a Weissach (for the 1,000th time) It is one of the only 140 built so-called jubille models. It is certainly LH drive.
About the convoy of 86 928s from the staging hotel to the event. Unfortunately we arranged with the police to keep the route clear but one set of lights was not included. So the poor guy cut off by the lights and so leading the convoy with no clue about where to go. So as soon he saw a 928 he followed it. As luck would have it - the leader of this group of 50 928s saw a 928 and followed it complete with his 50 followers.
Sadly this 928 was nothing to do with the convoy and was simply looking for a shop to buy a Sunday newspaper. he was amazed to have 50 928s following him
good luck
