Default E-Bay GTS/S4 Spoiler

Anyone know anything about this seller or the spoiler he has for sale. I e-mailed a few days ago with a question and no response.

Did you ever find out anything about the seller? a short time after the aucion ended I got a "second chance" e-mail with the option to purchase the wing at my highest bid - which is substantially less than the final bid. This form e-mail states that the reason for this is either the high bidder didn"t pay (which is unlikely since this auction has just ended), or the that the seller has multiples of the same item.

This seems kinda wierd. Denhat - I saw you bid too (a lot higher than me)- did you get a "second chance" e-mail too?

I did get the "second chance" e-mail. I'm not sure what I'm going to do since I asked the seller for additional pictures and never received them. He does have good feedback but something sounds weird on this one.

Sounds like he either may have several and is trying to get rid of them, or maybe its a highjacked id and someone is trying to make some money.

I'm tempted - it appears to be a good price, although quality is unknown - but I think I'll walk away this time

I still have another 8 hrs. to decide. I also e-mailed the seller a few days ago for some pictures from the rear of the car. No response. Did you also get a "second chance" e-mail from the auction that ended last night? If I decide to buy it I will let you know the quality level on the spolier.

Yes - I got that e-mail, and I've got about 8 hrs to decide too. So he does have muliple items - or its a scam. I just e-mailed the seller some questions and requests for pics - I'll let you know if he responds

This is getting strange. My last bid was for $ 253, what was your bid for?
Sounds like I would overpay on the item.

My maximum bid was $175 - that is how much this e-mail offered to sell it to me for. I smell something fishy

I saw this auction on ebay a few weeks ago, and again this time. I think he had started at $500 last time and did not get any bids.

I have the Jacquemond Aerodyne wing on my S4 that I purchased from Jaquemond himself in France. I absolutely love it! This gent's wing looks like a similar Jaquemond wing or a FG copy there of.

I was curious so I e-mailed him and asked him the story. Thinking that things may be on the up-and-up, and seeing that his price was languishing at about $100 mark, I included a couple of pics of my wing so that he could see the finished/painted product.

He wrote back :"This wing is slightly different. Did you do the complete kit? I have other items like fenders if you are interested?" He also wrote that he was in the process of having rear flares fabricated, and complete front fenders (pop-up light) fabricated as a complete piece, not fiberglass add-ons.

I asked for some pics of his other items, but did not receive any.

He offered the wing to me for re-sale to others, and the cost was twice what you guys were offered.

I will try to write this gent back and see if I can get any more info.

I don't want to see someone blatantly rip Jaquemond off (even thought his prices are a little steep), but at the same time it would be nice to see a shop producing good 928 products on this side of the pond, and at a decent price.

Things are a little strange here? I'm not sure I would be writing any cheques unless I was picking-up. Mind you.... if he was trying to rip people off, he would not have wrote back to "Denhat" that he was out of wings. He would have just asked for the cash and then disappeared. Maybe he is just starting to spool up, and not organized yet?

There is also a good chance that if this guy is a "shark-head", he may be reading these posts.

For those that a curious what the Aerodyne wing (think this is) looks like on the car, here are a couple of pics of mine:

Cheers,
Mike

That is probably the best looking rear spoiler out there. I was going to purchase the Meteor Blue Jaquemond rear spoiler but its difficult to tell how its looks on an S4. (Cost $ 500)

Mike, let me guess your wing was close to $ 1,000

I did get another e-mail from the ebay seller, he is going to get more rear wings in the next few weeks and e-mail some additional pictures.

Hello Denhat,

I love the look of Aerodyne wing. I really like some of his styling (Especially the rear of the Aerodyne wide body), however I'm not too fond of grafting fiberglass to steel/aluminum, or the "gun port" HID lights built into the fenders. I like the Porsche 928 "Pop-up's". I may go for one of his roof top/top of hatch spoilers this fall. If there were GTS rear quarter flares available in steal when I had my S4 painted I would have jumped on them in a heartbeat.

Jacquemond was very good to deal with, and the shipping was reasonable ($100 from France), however there were fitment issues. When I mounted the wing on the car I noticed that the rear wiper made contact with the bottom of the wing.

I contacted Jacquemond about this and his reply was to bend the rear wiper arm so that it would not make contact to with the bottom of the wing. This may work, but it did not sound like a solid idea to me so I pulled the wings mounting bolts from the bases, and add an additional 10-15 mm of material to the bases for the rear wiper to clear the bottom surface of the wing.

We are only talking about 10mm here. However this is an expensive custom item, so I did not expect to run into this kind of fitment issue. Maybe Jacquemond has corrected this by now.

Denhat, as far as price goes, Jacquemond is a little high. However he does have excellent specials from time to time where he discounts his products 20-40 %. I would have to dig out my invoice but I think I got mine as part of a Christmas sale for $599. If you are interested in his stuff, it's worth it to keep checking his site for promotional specials.

Cheers,
Mike

Looks to big. It's out of proportion with the rest of the car. Factory wing looks best. Rice??
