OK , OK so if someone were to BUY Jim's parts ....D R , Andy , Don T , Tom F. , Tony , et all would do a gang ......Install ??? Now that is what I call a Tech session !! Makes me almost wish I owned an S-4 . Since David took it off the GTS I have to believe HE KNOWS exactly how to put it back on !! It would be like the typical party except everyone would not be in the kitchen but the garage/workshop .

In all honestly Jim (M) for what you have provided many of us in the form of the CDs, this would be a nice way to pay you back.

Maybe we can have a pit crew style competition. I'll remove mine and we can race to see who can get a SCed car up and and running the fastest.... I'll warn ya though. I've had 85% of my entire setup off and back on again in under 2hrs. I bet a friend $1000 that I could do it in under 2 hrs. he never paid up.

If you wanted to make what Jim has into a Murf928 kit I would recommend the following list of supplement parts and I would have to charge $2950 for them. I'm leaving out a few misc parts but I didn't want to spend too much time on this but I'm pretty sure I would be able to supply everything you would need to make it a very solid kit. I would be available most hours of the day for assistance at that price but I will also have to warn you that it took me and 2 others 12 hours to install a Murf928 kit from start to finish. In my opinion the bracket and pulleys are not feasable to use and that is why I have included them in my parts list below. The following list takes into account all the parts that Jim is offering. Still a good deal if you compare to what I charge for a complete S4 kit and once again I would provide the same level of support should someone decide to take this off of Jim's hands and purchase my suplimental parts.

Crank Pulley
Accessory drive pulley
Shim for Powersteering Pulley
Shim for Air Pump Pulley
Supercharger Pulley
(4) shims for idler pulleys

3" x 3.5" long coupler for intake filter
4" clamp on intake to SC

Jim B.

I'll say this, I was there for the dismantle of that particular GTS.

Two left handed Monkeys could have done a better install, Oh sorry, one Munkey did...

There was some serious head scratching goin' on that night, as evidenced by the picture of all the empties sitting on the engine.

Kinda reminds me of my favorite saying... 'just because you can don't mean you should'.

IF you are gonna do this, I highly recommend you do it right. Pick one, Murph or Andy..........I was afraid this was the "leavings" of the kit Dave removed from that GTS. Dave, gentleman that he is, didn't overly disparage what was there, but the conversation lead me to believe that it was a real Kludge. My offer to help on the install was, if Jim showed interest, going to be followed up with a recommendation that he fill out the pieces he has in his posession with Murph kit components. (That would have been providing that Murph was willing to do so). Since he seems willing, then some lucky 928 owner can get the car SCd for a considerable discount. This is a great deal. If I did not already own Murph Supershark number 4, I would make the trip to SITM just to get the kit installed. Great deal, sombody should jump on it.

BTW, thanks Murph, the package arrived!

I can't tell who's doing what. Worse, due to changing computers and other Snafu's, I don't have my email addresses or phone contact lists available.

So, here's my offer: Jim wrote his problem was not being at SITM. I'd LOVE to go (been way too long since seing Dave and Jeannie). There appears to be a team capable of installing the system. I will get my **** to Allentown and drive the car to SITM for the conversion, then return it to Jim's house and get my **** back home.

So........JIm, whaddya say?

Exclamation

Count yourself lucky! A little greyer, a little thinner hair, and (believe it or not) a little slimmer. Otherwise, same ol' same ol'.
