Does anyone in the Midlands / UK know of somewhere to get a spare key cut for an 83?
Local Timpsons said yes at first then later back tracked and nobody else coming up local.

I used Keys 4 Classics but they are definitely not local! Sent them images of my keys and they made a few spares for me.

I also used this company and sent them pictures. Totally hazzle free, very nice to work with. Great quality, I ordered two keys with the "Huf" blades. Porsche themself uses these. My keys look exactly like factory-made...

I used Keys 4 Classics as well, and even with only having a mangled key to start from, they were able to identify the correct bitting and made a pair of correctly fitting keys.
