Hi,
Been away for a long time and also didn't use my 928 much.
A few days ago triyng to open my passenger side door and...it does not open more than a few centimetres!
Completely stuck!
I know I probably shouldn't but I forced ir, it makes a loud metal noise and opens!
When opened everything is in place, the door is adjusted, does not move up or down and closes perfectly. When closed is perfectly aligned.
Tried 2 or 3 more times and always the same.
I would appreciate any ideas of what can be the problem.
TIA
Regards
Edit: both door locks also work perfectly from both sides.
usually its the rear lower edge of the door panel thats grabbing the rocker area.
NOTE to open the door unlatch it then pull it closed without latching it,
then press the lower edge of the rear of the door panel to the door hold it like this ,then push the door open.
Thats why they put a few screws along the bottom rear edge of the door panel

Stan, I don't think that is the problem😩!
When I tried ro open the door it opens but only a few centimetres, I can put my hand inside in the back part of the door!
Then it does not move more!
If I force it to open there is loud metalic sound coming from the front of the door, like something was stuck and then release.
After that rhe door is absolutely normal, it opens totaly, does not move up or down and it closes softely and without any resistance!
And wheter open or closed it is aligned, with no losiness!
Sorry for.my english😩!!
TIA
Have you looked at the door arrestor at the front of the door? Once it's open, can you see any corrosion or surface roughness that might be causing problems?

Hi,
Not yet but I will look into it.
I think it's definitely something on the front of the door, on the hinge or something.
Not sure about corrosion I guess it will be dificult to open but not that hard.
Maybe something out of place.
Thanks for the tip.
OK roll down the window and look inside the door via the window slot at the door check arm ,
if it looks rusty spray it with some PB blaster work the door a bit,
once open lubricate the door hinges as well,
and get a new door check

Bingo. The door card will flop OVER the sill ledge..and hang the door up.
