It is somewhere inbetween cassis red and silver rose. I'm having a hard time tracking that colour down. The old ad says "silver sweetberry" but I don't know if that colour exist in the genuine porsche selection. Customer special choice maybe? I guess others will chime in here...

I have tried to find the ones that originally came with the later "Ultra" edition. I could fit them with spacers in the rear. No version of the strosek-dial wheels has been made that would fit the older version III kit without spacers afaik...

This is my Ruby Red gem, 1983 928s. Imported to sweden from germany in 1987 and built by a car company that also were the swedish agent for strosek at the time. It was built between 1987 to 1988 for a wealthy jeweller in the south of sweden. It has also been featured in the swedish car magazine "Bilsport" in 1989...

So, a BBS split wheel in the shower. I've had a little problem in the summer with a leaky left front tire. Had it checked by a local tireshop. They were pretty much useless because it continued to leak. So tonight I took it off and had a look myself. No leaks at the inside edge, no leaks round the split or bolts. But 9(!) leaks round the edge of the outside. How the hell can you miss this? Safe to say, I won't use that shop again...

It also looks like it has very thick coats of filler. Another thing is that it doesn't have any strosek options outside or inside. The wheels are not strosek, no strosek wing, no mirrors, no strosek front, no strosek lights, no strosek options inside. The real strosek kits were very expensive when ordered new. If a shop would have built it for a customer, that customer would have to be a wealthy customer. He or her wouldn't normally have to save on all the expences on the options, inside or outside. As we know the strosek kits were also sold to private builders, but again very expensive kits to build from. I have seen several private builds and they are almost every time good builds and not built on the cheap side. The strosek-look are very precise, and to identify a kit is normally not so hard if you have seen many original strosek's. Also to identify altered kits are not so hard either, because they are very expensive to repair. If a piece is replaced it almost always shows. Strosek bodyparts are unobtanium online, occasionally a genuine wing pops up somewhere. To get pieces you may be lucky and find an abandoned strosek that you can strip for parts. But that is also almost impossible these days...

Daniel, Your engine compartment looks just beautiful, especially with your new Jerry Feather made Strut Brace. You are however missing a very important item to further improve its appearance. If I can find your address I'm going to send you one of them jfeather@bresnan.net

Is this really a NLA, never installed, Strosek rear fender (left side only)? Would this be an early style one if so?
Here's a simplyfied picture-comparison with my car. Not exactly in the right angle but It sure looks alright to me...
The price is a bit outrageous, but the seller seems to know how insanely rare these pieces are. The ad also says "Nur Abholung" "just for pickup" so he won't ship it. To be frank, if I were to buy that piece for
830 euro's(!) I would like to see it first and verify the authenticity...

Thank you, WestInc. Your comparison pictures help show it may indeed be genuine!
I can't help but think that a person with the right talent could use this to make molds (including having to create a mirror copy mold for the right side) so they could be reproduced. A lot of work for a small market, I am sure, but what a wonderful opportunity this suggests!
