Diego,

Don’t brush off the potential the car is a J spec, after all most of not all 928s shipped to Japan were LHD as were many other luxury imports as the Japanese considered it a prestige to have LHD in Japan - at least back then. Per Rob’s input, it seems the CAT message was a J-spec implementation (and maybe in other markets), but not US/NA firmware.

Anyhow, and as mentioned, the fastest way for sensor diagnostics is to get Theo’s UDT-999 tool which is quite reasonably priced and you will need it eventually for PSD service etc. Most lights you have mentioned can be remedied one at a time starting with the simple ones such as brake pads and tire pressure (being set at the correct or above recommended PSI)…

88% of the roughly 4400 928s sold in Japan were left hand drive. So there.

Deigo,
click the link below to access a forum thread with many of the owners manuals for the 928.

The 1992 RoW one has the error messages that are associated with the display on the digital dash. This should give you an idea which are appearing on your dash.

You’re killing me Rob, you really have a super repository on the 928s out there! In Riyadh, the mechanic I used refers to me as the 928 Ambassador… I guess I will have to refer to you as CINC :-P

The 'excuse' that I have heard is that LHD cars were considered more exotic so if you were going to spend the money on an expensive import you may-as-well go for the full monty and get one in LHD.
