I saw it.
It sold for over 40k Canadian. add in 7.5% buyers fees, plus the about $2k to $3k USD to get it somewhere and you are at about $30k USD. It aint cheap, but if you do the work yourself maybe ok. It also was a clear title car, NOT salvage. The mileage was about 60k from what they said. US buyer had high bid if the insurance accepts. I suspect they will. Well see it around with no sunroof in a year or so, Id bet.

Well......not exactly. I buy about 10-15 cars per week from Copart and IAA and we often joke that we should kick a dent in a clean title car and send to Copart to make more money. There is a few reasons for this, exposure is one and the somewhat recent influx of "public" buyers is another. People love the feeling of "getting a deal" and the frenzy of live auction bidding all adds up to big prices on niche cars. All these youtubers buying wrecked exotics just adds to the insanity.

I guess the car didn't sell.
It was won by someone from the US, but either they didn't/couldn't pay, or the insurance company wanted more. If the insurance expect to get more, they are crazy. I suspect someone didn't do their homework on the car. 40k canadian was a solid price, honestly. After fees it was about 30K USD.
Thank you.
