Thanks Hacker, but he told me where to send the money to Paypal, not me. I had no basis to tell him he was focked-up with where to send it. Get a life.

Your propensity to come out slinging insults is why I have zero sympathy for you in this situation. A mistake was made, and before any reasonable amount of time had passed to try and correct the mistake you decided to go public and call Joe a scam artist and stupid. That's 100% on you. I have zero patience for such attitudes.

Yes, Hacker, My first reaction to any mistake I might have made is to correct it for the other person affected. Joseph's was to see how he could get paid from his mistake and then maybe send the Headers. Yours seems to be much the same. I made my payment to him according to his instructions, and it was verified through PayPal, so a reasonable amount of time woud be to ship the Headers now. Why do you see it any different? And his respnse was clearly that if he did not find out how to get the money he was not going to ship the headers. How do you see it any other way. Why should I have waited until he stated that position much more firmly? I dont actually think he was or is a Scam Artist, but I am pretty sure about the other. Now I have to kind of wonder about you.

I know many sellers want to save the paypal fee's by using friends and family, but to me this defeats the security of using paypal.
This seems to be the case a lot on Facebook, where every other seller is a crook.
I would hope a known Rennlist seller is not in the same category.
I hope the person who received the funds would do the right thing-however who knows in today's world.
To me the pay-pay fee's are worth the protection.

I went back and looked at the post where Hacker chose to blame the whole problem on me, and then I noticed that in the screen shot from PayPal which shows Hacker has typed in the name Joseph Ciesielski the only name that shows below that is the same one and no others. I now seem to remember that that is exactly what I saw on April 3 when I sent the money to that name as he had requested. Then I went to the PayPal site and kind of did it over. I clicked on send money and what came up was the screen that said to enter "Name, @Username, Email, Mobile." I find it interesting that sending money to an email is only the third choice and that using a Name is the first choice. The only suggestion that one might make a later choice than name is if you cannot find the person you are looking to send money to, which suggests that if there are more than one person on Paypal with the same name both or all names will be listed. In my case, only one name showed up and it was the same name that Joseph told me to send to; so it pisses me off to have one of our leaders say that I am 100 percent wrong. Actually I am 100 percent correct in how I dealt with this situation.

The other interesting thing now is that the only claim that there are more than one Joseph Ciesielskis on PayPal is our Joseph. Even paypal cannot or will not tell me if there are more than one of them on PayPal. All the indictions are that there is only one Joseph Ciesielski on PayPal. I am now refreshing my concern about having been scammed.

What you fail to understand is the primary issue here is Paypal. However the conversation went down which led you sending money to the incorrect person is secondary. Instead of you understanding this and working with PayPal and "our" Joe to fix it, you decide to go public slinging insults.

You're still at it, trying to insinuate he's a scam artist, going through all this trouble to get $380 out of you.

Why doesn't PayPal give you a list of all the folks in their system with that name? No clue, go ask PayPal. That's not my problem, it's not a Rennlist problem, and it's not Joe's fault it's like that. Venmo has a checks / balances system to help prevent this exact situation from happening.

"Joseph Ciesielski" on LinkedIn shows 9 people.
"Joseph Ciesielski" on Facebook I have to scroll several pages

Again, had you posted up asking for help with the situation I'm sure many folks would have chimed in to offer advice on how to deal with PayPal (I've had to call them several times over the years). But since you came out guns blazing insinuating Joe was either a scammer or stupid, you lose all sympathy, at least from me.

This thread is closed, this is not a Rennlist problem. I hope you get your money back.
