I would find it very difficult to part out a car that had been destroyed in that way. It would be just too depressing seeing it there like that each day. I know it makes sense to rescue as much as you can, but you must have a much stronger stomach than me.

yes it will be depressing, however I will be able to do it, I would rather see the good parts go to GOOD owners, and I dont want it to sit in some wrecking yard while good parts are destroyed.
The vultures are coming out ready to devoure another victom of an untimely passing. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Shooting people like that would be to good for them. A slow painful punishment is in order. Now, as for the parting out of your car. Are you going to e-bay or just take requests from rennlisters? I need a couple of interior items.
Lizard man, Although I can say I have not had it even half that bad I can still say you are definately not alone. Unbelievable that there are slugs like that. One thing that helps me get thru is knowing that those $&*#@* will get whats coming to them. Karma is a bich and so is her sister.
Lizard,
Let us know the final disposition vis a vis the insurance company. It's always a shame when a loved one departs us, but take comfort in knowing others will drive on thanks to their sacrifice. That being said, I claim "home field" advantage when it comes time to carving up the remains. You know how to reach me.

Thats totally crazy! And then the sick individuals who destroy a car because it just happens to be there....It sounds like mad max or something. Im sorry to hear about that. Its great you have insurance for it though.
If your looking to sell some rear seats when you part it out, I really could use some! My upper rear seat backs are sun cracked.
well still dukin it out dropped off the reciepts I had and am putting some ads together found a few good adds lowest price in the area is an 84 for $15k but I doubt as good of shape. but I will duke it out get the car back and part it, I will offer it on rennlist first then E-bay even though I could probably get more on e-bay :P
the int I will probably sell as a whole it is black int the dash had 1-2 litterally hairline cracks that werent growing at all, the seats had alittle wear but didnt show the 280k on the clock. the switches worked perfectly and werent broken, so I will put it together as a package with photos and then sell it, who knows I may end up doing the int piece by piece though,
