So I was working on my HVAC and took the cover off to do some trimming, long story but I am relocating it lower to fit a touchscreen double din. I noticed that there was a black wire that looks like it should be soldered to something. Any chance anyone knows where this wire is supposed to go? It is the black wire that is in the top right of the image.

That is a fiber optic line meant to help light up the controls. You should be able to figure out where it gets routed. The experts will correct me if I’m wrong.
If I’m looking at the pic correctly that is the fiber optic flexible wire. It starts at the black light box and the other end is just kind of shoved into the back of the slider ****. That is how the slider **** illuminates. It’s flexible enough to curve and bend as you move the slider back and forth.
