Hi all-
I'm asking for advice here since the actual car that has a problem (Cayman) has a forum that mostly depends on dealers for service, or has discussions about less own-work oriented topics.
Anyway, I'm looking for a gasket dressing that is ATF6 compatible. Permatex has a product (81180) that seems like the right choice but I'd really like to get this job over with; doing things a third time would be really painful.
So, any suggestions? I'd like to keep the gasket dressing flexible (non-hardening), but it also seems like the standard oil compatible gasket dressings won't be ATF compatible.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Porsche used Dowsil 730 FS in many applications for 928s, 944s, etc. and would resist ATF without issue as far as I can tell.
It is definitely not cheap though...
