Default 85 Valve Cover HELP!

Team 928,
I am about to embark on a journey! I will be replacing the valve cover gaskets on my 85 928. As I read through the prior posts, a few questions come up.
First off, I fully understand about the bolts and those silly nut sert type things.

Main question is on the access needs. On the passenger side, there is what appears to be an egr pipe and sensor? The bracket is mounted to the cylinder head.... How can I remove for access?
The front engine eye hook on the passenger side.... Can't quite see how to remove.

What else should come off on driver and passenger side for easy access? I want to avoid damaging the gasket and having the spark plug seals fall off.

I know the tensioner pads should be replaced but... my understanding is that the 85 pads are NLA. The pad screws onto the top part. I have seen pics that show a protrusion that goes into the pad. Problem is... I cant seem to find the old style pads. Don't really want to replace the tensioners with the newer and oil lines. Any thoughts on this?

Any pics would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

85/86 tensioner pads are NLA
Check them for chain wear - grooves.

Thank you,
Replace the old and know faulty early S3 32v Tensoners w/ the newer designed S4's w/ new plastic pads, else you risk failure and a really expensive repair when the internal disk gets stuck or the old plastic fails.
