I returned the wosp starter which would not spin even after fitting the correct toothed drive. My original stater with the cold start wire unattached is still working but I have purchased a used stater from 928 intl. which I will have checked out at the local starter repair shop. I will then put the ok used starter on and take the non cold start starter to be repaired and put on the shelf or possibly advertise for sale. Ukraine situation seems to still be making it impossible to find new or rebuilt plug and play starters for my '78. Thanks again for all suggestions along the way.
