Lightbulb Mercedes Classic Sale & Free Ship - Automatic Owners Pay Attention

Mercedes Classic is having a sale and free shipping on their parts until Halloween.

If you have an auto 928, many parts are interchangeable with the 722.3 transmission of the 80s and 90s.

I bought the transmission protection switch, and all the o-rings for $81. This is $30-$40 less than what I have been quoted elsewhere.

Grab the part numbers you need and cross reference on their site.

PS, I will be putting a thread up of the trans protection overload switch replacement following Merlin's process complete with cleaning pictures and more details to supplement his thread below:

Brake bands have been updated to better metal composition since they were installed in 928s (source from post by MB tech on Benzworld forum). If you have your transmission apart, this is a good "while you're at it" replacement and upgrade.

Also any of the seals on the pumps and clutches are good to have new

Ehh...maybe, but the crtiical issue is knowing when an MB part, is acceptable when the Porsche part may be better.

AND where they are in the supersession ladder.

Also valve body springs are a good buy right now. There was an update several years back.

I can confirm the seals and some general components are updated part numbers. Porsche uses the same part numbers as Mercedes

example: 002-545-45-14 Switch.Transmission is the same as Porsche.
