Question 928 side mirror replacement

Hi,
I'm about to get my first 928S (a manual Euro 84). I just had an independent pre-purchase inspection done and it looks promising.
There are some minor issues like a broken left side mirror.
Picture attached. I was able to find a 911 mirror very near to where I live, and wondered if these are interchangeable?
There seems to be a screw on the 911 part, which I don't see on the 928.

Any suggestions on whether this should work? Alternatively, instead of replacing the whole mirror unit, can the internals be transferred to solve my problem?

Thanks a lot!

Ok, so excuse me for being overly enthousiastic. I should have done my due diligence. I have found this video which effectively shows how to solve my problem without a new mirror!

Thanks anyway!

Default 1980 928 Side Mirror Swings

Can anyone help with how to stop the passenger side mirror from swinging(blue arrow)?
Is it the red nut that is stripped? Do I have a bad spring?
I realize the mirror needs to swing out to access the nut that secures the base of the mirror to the door.
But before i go down this rabbit hole I want to be sure I've pre ordered any relevant parts I'll need.

needs a ton of pressure to compress the spring
hard to do by hand but possible, (you need a big Greek friend)
