Default springs needed

I'm looking for someone who's gone aftermarket for their front springs and has the originals still around (in good condition), it appears that my originals were swapped prior to arrival in the us...

thanks as always

I should clarify that mine is a '78, will either of these work? the car currently sits about 3" too high due to the springs on it now... I have new shocks on the way already

Rixter,

If you go with the originals; especially if you get new ones, it will sit high in the front. Get later model adjustables if you can.
I've got new ones with boges on my 80 and it sits at the very top of the spec.
There's no adjustment and its been mentioned cutting them will help.

way too much back and forth here... I'd like to remain as stock as possible but this girl is sitting WAY TOO HIGH, there are NO shims installed and everything is as was when it arrived in the us in '85, rumor has it one of the oringinal owners in Germany was the pres of VDO so there is the chance they were swapped, to be honest I don't mind the height but at high speed it is VERY obvious as it whips back and forth from the extra under flow of air... I'm putting new rear shocks on this weekend while the tranny is out for bearings/syncros and I don't want to look like I'm running shine... anyone willing to kick me in the *** and tell me which way to go with the front?

One kick comming up .....
I replaced the non adjustable front on my '80 years ago - with the springs, lower perches, adjuster nuts/threaded bushings straight from a '85S. The front height can be set and maintained wherever you choose ( in minutes)- just like the back end you now have: If you're concerned about modification, consider it an approved factory update. Mucking about with spacers is an exercise in masochism, and imprecise at that!
And that's all I have to say about that ..... So, what sort of shine are you running?
