Will these wheels work?
I was looking at upgrading my wheels. I found a set with the following sizes:
8.5JX18 ET52 fronts, 10Jx18ET47 rears
I have a '88 S4. It looks like from the 928GT website that this car originally came with wheels that are 7x16 ET65 and 8x16 52.3ET.
Is there any problems with using 18's? Is there a problem with this smaller offset? Will I need wheel spacers?
Thanks

It's not so much the offset as the 18-in size combined with the offset. Had they been 17's you might have a chance with rolling (gasp) ... in 17-in, the fronts would be fine and actually may work in 18's too ....

What am I missing here?? I'm running 10x18 rears with 48 offset (65 minus 17mm spacer)?? These should be just fine! The front will be VERY close and will likely need rolling. I run 8 with 50 offset and 225 tires. 8.5 with 52 and a 225 tire will be approximatley 10mm further out than mine, so the fronts are the real issue especially if you fool with a lower ride height. I'd pass.

I run 8.5 x 18 et 50 in front with a 225 40 tire and 10.5 x 18 et 60 with a .25 inch spacer and 275 35 tire in the rear and I have no rubbing issues.
My ride height is 1/2 inch lower than stock, any lower and you may have some rubbing.
