Default Replacing viscous fan clutch

How do you guys separate the fan clutch from the bearing inside the mount? I've removed the nut (I actually snapped off the threaded shaft doing so, but that nut is off ) and removed the snap ring, which is actually only holding the bearing in place, but everything seems pressed in very tightly, neither the bearing nor the clutch shaft are budging, although it rotates very smoothly. So I don't plan on replacing the bearing, I just need to get the clutch shaft out. Do you guys use a puller? The one I have doesn't fit, naturally, but I can go get another one. I just want to make sure I'm not making this harder than it really is...

heat the pulley hub,
spray PB blaster onto the shaft,
and with a helper support the pulley and tap out the shaft

Ok thanks for that, I'll give it a shot. In my case the pulley is off because I broke the end of the shaft taking the nut off, but I suppose the same principles apply.

yes but you may damage the bearing shields and it might be prudent to swap in a new set of bearings Roger has them

Just to put a bow on this one, I got a new bearing from Roger, had a devil of a time getting the woodruff key in and the pulley to slide over it, but finally got it all done. The end. I hope.
