Looks like HellBlau to me.

The pics Shane posted are my 85 Iris blue baby. The one 9 two 8 posted looks a little darker but then mine is faded I bet.

Ahh but Thursty, you know your own Porsche not ;-) ... That's Rosalie chasing down yours truly in her Iris with side mouldings ..... Btw this colour came in 1985 and 1986. And, I am convinced that 928's car is Iris.

Looks like Iris Blue to me as well, maybe a bit darker. The MY helps if you know it. Generally the color is on the drivers side door sill, but if missing can idicate a repaint which means it may not be Porsche spec paint. Why do you ask?

That car could very well be Lapis Blue Metallic if the picture is showing the car to be lighter that it actually is. If you are interested, you can go to my website below to see what a Lapis Blue Matallic '83 928S looks like.
