Default Flapper valve

So working on the top refresh, I had the manifold sand blasted. Both caps off and the flapper valve removed. Washed and oven dried then painted. So put in the new roller pin bearings and have the rod in, I think it is in right and I have the two little screws that hold the disk in, so do you use blue or red Loctite on the screws? Also should I put any Permatex on the seals for the caps or just the o-ring type seals that fit in the channel alone?
I should have taken more photos!

Put em in dry, they will be fine.

Did you remove the paint/coating from the snap ring surfaces on the top and bottom of the mainfold?

The shaft length assumes no thick coatings on those surfaces, and then the snap ring makes the shaft too tight to turn with the vacuum pod.

The proper updated bearings have seals on them, should have those already.

The kit was from Rodger, and I used high temp engine paint, not very thick. Flapper seems to move freely.

Great..you have the right gear then.

Make sure the surfaces that the temperature sensors attach to are bare metal, this is how they ground.

So the caps, add Permatex or not, and the gaskets for the throttle body only have two bolt’s on one side, should I add sealer also?

No BS sealant..no

If you have Rogers bearings, there are already seals in there.

Even OE without seals, there was no need.
