that looks like an area where a connection could get bad and cause lack of continuity even with good sensors
That should normally do the trick....but in my case it doesn't even work when bridging pin 19 & 20 on the CWU.....

I wonder if in my case the resistance on the flex print at the back of my instrument cluster is compremised...giving too much resistance in the circuit towards the CWU..

yeah, I ripped my Flex panel off in hardwired the cluster and it has made my life much easier.
