until I find a good real set of manuals at a decent price can anyone point me to where I can get the cd other than on ebay?

Contact Jim Morehouse and get the manuals and the PET. Print the pages you need. Most will be irrelevant for your MY. Forget about the hard copies. Porsche sucks for what they are doing with respect to that.
